Sao Paulo Radiological Meeting (JPR)
The International Society of Radiology (ISR) and the Radiological Society of Sao Paulo (SPR) are proud to hold the 27th International Congress of Radiology (ICR’2012) from May 3-6, 2012, at Transamerica Expo Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Promoted by ISR every two years in different places around the world, the meeting is coming back to Brazil 33 years after its last edition in this country, in Rio de Janeiro, 1977.
JPR is considered the main event of Diagnostic Imaging in Latin America and the fourth biggest in the world. It traditionally receives a significant number of people from all Brazilian states and from most countries in South America. At the last meeting, which took place in May 2011, there were almost 12,000 participants. Among those participants were speakers, coordinators, exhibitors, and visitors.
JPR is also known for its scientific program, since it gathers outstanding national and international speakers and covers the latest scientific topics related to Radiology. The technological and commercial exhibits are of the upmost importance for the Latin American medical market, which includes the participation of the most important companies in this area.
Spreading Borders Out
SPR has been working for three years to make JPR become an international event, in order to intensify knowledge exchanging between Brazilian professionals and the ones from others countries.
As a result, all people involved in that iniciative has learned more, and the specialty has improved itself.
In 2009, SPR united to the French Society of Radiology (SFR) and to the Interamerican College of Radiology (CIR) to put JPR'2009 / I France-Latin America Congress of Radiology into practice.
In 2010, SPR promoted, together with the Italian Society of Medical Radiology (SIRM), the JPR'2010 / I Brazil-Italy Congress of Radiology.
In 2011, SPR promoted JPR'2011 / I Brazil-Chile Congress of Radiology, along with the Chilean Society of Radiology (SCR).
In 2012, it will organize JPR'2012/27th International Congress of Radiology (ICR'2012), together with the International Society of Radiology (ISR).
And, in 2013, it will promote the 14th World Congress of Ultrasound, in association with WFUBM (World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology). |
